Scribbled notes, a sendable email.

The fragments you typed during the call, turned into the follow-up you owe. Nothing added that you did not write down.

Subject

Follow-up: revised scope and quote

Body

Thanks for the call. To confirm what we agreed: the scope is approved, with two additional sites added. You are checking the budget on Monday and we will send the revised quote on Wednesday. The end of month deadline stands.

Left out

The fee question, because your notes flag it as open rather than answered.

Fragments in, a follow-up out, nothing invented

The workflow

How it works.

  1. STEP 01

Paste the notes as they are

Abbreviations, missing verbs, arrows. It is used to reading the thing you typed while listening.

  2. STEP 02

    Check what it left out

Anything ambiguous should come back flagged rather than smoothed into a sentence. That is the part worth reading twice.

  3. STEP 03

    Send it the same day

A confirmation email sent within the hour is the cheapest dispute prevention there is.

Worked example

In practice.

What you typed in the call

3 sites not 2

fee tbc

they want start before hols

legal to check indemnity

J chasing landlord

What the follow-up has to do
  • Separate agreed from openThree sites is agreed. The fee is not. The email has to show which is which
  • Name who owes whatJ chasing the landlord is an assignment, and it belongs in writing
  • Keep the datesBefore the holidays is vague in a note and worse in an email, so it asks for a date
  • Add nothing elseNo invented pleasantries about a productive discussion

The value is the separation. A follow-up that lists agreed and open items in two groups ends more arguments than one that reads beautifully and blurs them.

Honest limits

Where it does not help.

It cannot read your handwriting

Photographs of a notebook are not text. Type the notes in, badly is fine.

It will not fill gaps

If the notes never said who owns something, the email will not either. It asks instead.

It was not in the room

Tone, hesitation and the thing everyone understood but nobody said are invisible to it.

Why it adds up

What email actually costs.

58%

of the working day goes to coordination about work: chasing updates, hunting documents, confirming status.

The free tool

On demand

  • Reads fragments, abbreviations and shorthand
  • Writes the follow-up from what is there
  • Flags the open items instead of resolving them
  • Free, no account, ten runs a day
Pidgy

Without asking

  • Turns the same notes into tasks, not only prose
  • Tracks who owes what afterwards
  • Chases the ones that go quiet
  • Drafts the chase, you press send

A good follow-up email closes the meeting. Somebody still has to chase the four things in it, which is the part that does not fit in a paste box.

Questions

Answered.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no card, ten runs a day, nothing stored.

How rough can the notes be?

Rough. Fragments, arrows, missing verbs and abbreviations are the normal input rather than the hard case.

Will it invent things I did not write?

It should not, and that is the first thing to check on your own notes. Ambiguous items should come back flagged rather than resolved.

Can I get a task list instead of an email?

Use the meeting notes to tasks tool for that. Same paste, different output shape.

The email is the easy half.

Pidgy turns the same notes into tracked tasks, watches who owes what and drafts the chase when it goes quiet.
