Hi Tom, quick one on invoice 2026-0418, it is still showing unpaid at our end. Any idea when it might go out? Happy to resend it.

Direct

Tom, invoice 2026-0418 is three weeks overdue. We need a payment date this week to keep going.

One line in, three registers out

The workflow

How it works.

  1. STEP 01

    Say it in one line

What you need, who it is for, and any hard fact that has to appear. Bullet fragments are fine, it is not reading for style.

  2. STEP 02

    Read three registers

The same message at three distances. Seeing them side by side is usually what tells you which one the relationship can take.

  3. STEP 03

    Edit and send

Take the one that fits, change the parts only you know about, send it from your own mail. Nothing leaves anywhere on its own.

Worked example

In practice.

What you type

turn down the Hendriks project, no capacity until March, want to stay on good terms, offer to recommend someone

What comes back
  • SubjectA line that names the decision, not the apology
  • OpeningThe answer in the first sentence, before the reasoning
  • MiddleThe capacity reason, once, without an excuse pile
  • CloseThe referral offer, phrased as an offer and not a hedge

Turning work down is the case where the draft helps most, because the hard part is not the words. It is getting to the answer in sentence one instead of sentence five.

Honest limits

Where it does not help.

It does not know the history

Anything the relationship depends on has to go in the brief. The tool cannot see the four emails before this one.

It will not sound like you

Not from one line. It gets the register right and the fingerprints wrong, which is what the edit pass is for.

Legal wording is not drafting

Notice periods, liability, termination. Get the words from whoever carries the risk.

Why it adds up

What email actually costs.

28%

of the workweek goes to reading and answering email, before any of the work inside it gets done.

The free tool

On demand

  • Writes from one line of brief
  • Three registers at once, side by side
  • No account, nothing stored, ten runs a day
  • Works on anything you can describe
Pidgy

Without asking

  • Learns your register from your sent mail
  • Drafts before you open the thread
  • Knows what the last message in it said
  • EU-hosted, and you always press send

The tool writes from a line. Pidgy writes from your sent folder, which is the difference between a competent draft and one that sounds like you.

Questions

Answered.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no card, ten runs a day. Nothing you paste is stored.

Why three drafts instead of one?

Because register is the decision, not the wording. Seeing professional next to direct tells you quickly which one the relationship can take.

Can I ask for a different tone?

Say so in the brief. Warmer, shorter, more formal, apologetic, firm. It works on the instruction the same way it works on the content.

Does it send anything?

No. It writes text on a page. Copy what you want and send it from your own mail client.

This writes one email.

Pidgy drafts every reply in your inbox, in your register, before you open the thread. Nothing ever sends without you.
